Nintendo teases animated Mario movie

Nintendo has released the first trailer for its animated Super Mario movie, which stars Chris Pratt, after years of behind-the-scenes chitchat.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was first announced in 2018, is a partnership between Nintendo and the animation studio of Universal Pictures, Illumination. Pratt is in charge of an all-star cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Jack Black as Bowser.

Everything has been very quiet since the first casting news surfaced last year, but today’s release of the first official teaser trailer has finally broken the shroud of mystery.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which also features Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, is scheduled to be released on April 7th next year.
