Last Monday Netflix announced that they will be establishing an internal games studio in Helsinki, Finland, with Marko Lastikka as the studio director.
This is another step in our vision to build a world-class games studio

The Netflix game studio will be headquartered in Finland, as the company quotes to say that Finland is home to some of the best game developers. This would be the second game studio to be operated by Netflix. The first game studio is also headquartered in Helsinki, as Netflix acquired Next Game studio early this year.
These are not the only game studios owned and operated by Netflix, they also own and operate Night School Studio and Boss Fight Entertainment, which are also focused on developing games for the platform.
Netflix has been loosing almost 1.2 million subscribers since last December. This might be the companies plan to boost its subscriber count, perhaps. What do you think? Would the streaming giant be able to keep its subscribers by producing games for the platform?
